Partnerships

The Nature Conservancy and its partners have worked together to ensure the protection of our natural lands in Indiana throughout the years. The Nature Conservancy's Indiana Chapter has worked with the following organizations to protect critical lands in Indiana.

The Indiana Sustainable Natural Resources Task Force

The Task Force, consisting of both legislative and lay members, is charged with performing a comprehensive needs assessment and gap analysis of Indiana’s natural resource and conservation programs. The Task Force will also do a comparison of the programs and funding mechanisms of surrounding states.

The Indiana Land Protection Alliance (ILPA)

ILPA is a collaboration of land conservation organizations working around the state whose mission is to increase the pace and quality of land protection in Indiana. Many land trusts involved with ILPA are also close partners of the Indiana Chapter.

Indiana Coastal Cooperative Weed Management Area (ICCWMA)

The ICCWMA was established to address the problem of invasive plants threatening the coastal region of Northwest Indiana.

Northwest Indiana Paddling Association

Dedicated to promoting the region's paddling resources and opportunities and to providing environmental stewardship of the region's waterways, education, and to be a link between the region's paddlers.

Indiana Conservation Alliance

The Indiana Conservation Alliance (INCA) is a group of approximately 30 organizations sharing a common interest in the protection, stewardship and sustainable use of our natural resources.

Harrison County Community Foundation

A public foundation established for the receipt of donations and the distribution of income from permanent endowment funds for the philanthropic purposes of Harrison County.

Christopher Jordan

A nature photographer who has a great passion for the Midwest/Great Lake landscapes. His work can be found in Unexpected Indiana and The Nature Conservancy's Field Guide to Indiana Preserves.

Ron Leonetti

A landscape photographer whose work can be found in various publications including those published by the Conservancy. His work can also be found in The Nature Conservancy's Field Guide to Indiana Preserves.

Alan Patrick

Painter of the the Indiana landscape for years, including several Conservancy sites, and an avid supporter.

Hoosier Hikers Council

Since 1995 the Hoosier Hikers Council has been Indiana's statewide hiking trail repairing and trail building association.
