Associate Director of Philanthropy

Justin Petty has been with the Idaho Chapter of the Conservancy since 2005. Over the past eight years he has held several positions with the Conservancy, and is currently the Associate Director of Philanthropy.

Justin is a graduate of Colorado State University, where he studied natural resources management and environmental affairs. He came to the Conservancy from the Jornada Experimental Range in New Mexico, and worked in conservation and stewardship prior to philanthropy. Justin is passionate about the mission of the Conservancy and feels fortunate to work with peers who embrace a collaborative and adaptive approach to preserving nature.

Justin’s wife also worked for the Conservancy in Idaho and now manages a local organic food network serving the southern part of the state. Together they enjoy spending time in the outdoors fly fishing, floating Idaho’s rivers, hiking, biking and hunting. They also share an appreciation for experiencing the diversity of life and culture through travel.
