Clark Shafer

Associate Director of Philanthropy

After graduating from Hobart College in 1989, Clark moved to Sun Valley, Idaho to spend a winter skiing. He realized that Idaho was to be his home.

Clark joined the Conservancy’s Idaho Chapter Philanthropy team in 2010 after 12 years in the field of Executive recruitment. Prior to that, he served a seven-year stint as manager of Lost River Outfitters, a local fly shop and outfitter where he ran operations and did some guiding.

At the Conservancy, Clark provides a lot of savvy and a desire to make a difference. He also brings a wealth of local knowledge to the team as well as a strong background in sales.
When not working, Clark spends time with his wife and two children. They love camping, hiking, fishing, biking and skiing.
