Connect With Nature!

The Nature Conservancy is teaming up with Trees Atlanta and Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve to improve the health of our urban forests. Volunteer projects will include planting trees and grasses, cleaning up in park areas and removing debris along a woodland waterway.

Healthy forests make your life better every day. Trees clean the air we breathe and the water we drink. Our urban canopy offers shade and shelter, for us and wildlife. And our city's wooded parks are the center of our communities, harboring our memories and our hopes.

Bring your family and friends to this unique, multi-site volunteer effort to celebrate and serve the forests of metro Atlanta.

  • Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, Lithonia: Volunteers will mulch trails and clean up a section of the South River shoreline.
  • Veterans' Medical Center, Decatur: Volunteers will plant trees and shrubs near the creek behind the Medical Center.
  • English Avenue, Atlanta: Volunteers will team up with Trees Atlanta to plant a community forest, including fruit and nut trees.

This event is generously sponsored by CSX Transportation.
