Blowing Rocks Porch Talks

Blowing Rocks Preserve - Meet on front deck of the Hawley Education Center

Directions

Lagoon boardwalk talk: 1st, and 3rd Saturday of the month at 2 p.m.
- meet on front deck at Hawley Education Center
20 minute discussion about tidal swamps and frequently seen crabs, protecting the native shoreline, and the Indian River Lagoon- the most diverse estuary in North America.

Beach crossover talk: 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 2 p.m.
- meet at kiosk by beachside parking lot
20 minute discussion about native beach habitat restoration, Anastasia limestone “blowing” rocks, and Florida’s nesting sea turtles.

The tour is included in the regular preserve admission fee of $2 for adults, $1 for Nature Conservancy members, children 12 and under free of charge.
