Milford Neck Birding

September 13, 2014
8 a.m.

Meet at Meding's Seafood restaurant parking lot (3697 Bay Rd., Milford, DE).

The Nature Conservancy invites you to come look for fall migrants while learning about the importance of coastal forests and the threats these forests are facing from saltwater intrusion as part of the second annual Delaware Sea Level Rise Awareness Week taking place September 13-20. Our land steward, John Graham, provides an on-the-ground perspective of the challenges we are facing at Milford Neck, where we work cooperatively with Delaware Wild Lands and DNREC on management strategies.

The is free event includes early morning birding around Milford Neck followed by lunch at Meding's Seafood and discussion of the conservation issues. It is sponsored by the Delmarva Ornithological Society and co-sponsored by Delaware Wild Lands and The Nature Conservancy.
