Our Partners in Conservation

Praxair Foundation

Since 2005, Praxair Foundation has provided more than $300,000 to support The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut and around the world.

Conservation Highlights:

  • In 2012, Praxair Foundation provided $150,000 to the Conservancy to help launch “Praxair’s Greenway Project,” a new sustainability program that will plant or preserve 250,000 trees globally in 2013. The funds—a portion of the Greenway project—will be split between the Plant a Billion Trees Campaign in Brazil, forest restoration in Mexico and the purchase of carbon offsets through forest protection in Belize.
  • From 2005 through 2012, Praxair Foundation supported The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut with an annual gift of $20,000 toward the Program’s general operations, including protection and restoration efforts on the Connecticut River, in Long Island Sound, across 61 preserves throughout the state and various international partnerships, most notably with The Nature Conservancy in Brazil.
