Team Nature Conservancy

These brave souls have all committed to participate in the upcoming San Francisco Marathon to raise money for nature. Go, team!

"Running outside in nature along the gorgeous beaches of North Carolina where I now live makes me feel completely alive. That’s why I’m thrilled to partner with The Nature Conservancy, running a 5K in the San Francisco Marathon to help protect our amazing planet."

Project Manager Liz Spence loves all types of outdoor activities, from horseback riding to hiking to backcountry skiing. In this photo, Liz is kayaking in Elkhorn Slough, a preserve that the Conservancy protects. Go, Liz!

Jessica Dillon has been bitten by the travel bug. This photo of Jessica was taken in South Africa!

The Conservancy's Jordan Peavey is known for her steadfast dedication to protecting nature as well as her ever-expanding collection of fabulous shoes.

Project Director Daniel Olstein works to protect Mt. Hamilton, a vital area that safeguards threatened wildlife and helps ensure the flow of clean water to the Bay Area. Dan also enjoys visiting this area when the wildflowers are in bloom. As you can see in this photo, Mt. Hamilton's springtime floral displays are absolutely stunning.

Sasha Gennet, an ecologist with The Nature Conservancy, partners with ranchers and other community members to protect the land, water, plants and wildlife in the area. Even though she recently had a beautiful baby girl, Sasha is ready to start training for the half marathon.

The Conservancy's Rachel Wadsworth might just be our sportiest team member! She has been competing in triathlons for three years will be participating in her first Ironman triathlon at the end of the summer.

Lisa Van Cleef, associate marketing director, loves gardening, traveling, great food and, apparently, posing next to paintings of dogs.

Daniel Olstein is all smiles as he prepares to ascend Yosemite's Half Dome.

Check out the Conservancy's Jessica Dillon as she explores Australia's Great Barrier Reef!
