Kings River Preserve in Carroll County
Directions
The Kings River Preserve stretches seven miles along both sides of this serene Ozark mountain stream just southeast of Eureka Springs. Ozark Rivers Program Director Ethan Inlander will lead a driving tour of the preserve where, in addition to the beautiful scenery, we’ll take a look at a stream bank restoration he and his team just finished to improve the health of the river. Pack a picnic and warm up your stoneskipping arm; we’ll stop for lunch at the river along the way. You can ride along in Conservancy vehicles or convoy in your own four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Cost: $25. Limit 10
To register, please contact Lizzy East at (501) 614-5088 and provide your name, the number of adults (including yourself) and children in your party, your mailing address, phone number and e-mail address. We’ll collect your payment on the day of the field trip. Registrants will receive detailed information about where to meet, what to bring and wear, etc. In general, participants are expected to bring their own lunch and snacks. Most trips are suitable for children; if you have any questions, just ask. Except where noted, there is no fee for kids ages 12 and younger, accompanied by an adult.
