Winter in Mongolia’s Eastern Steppe, with its fierce weather and frozen landscapes, is not for the weak of heart. The park rangers at Toson Hulstai Nature Reserve have their work cut out for them as they bundle up to patrol the steppe while learning about its winter conditions and enforcing anti-poaching laws. The Nature Conservancy is lending a hand to these intrepid rangers by contributing a patrol vehicle and GPS units so they can reach the farthest corners of the reserve — and you can help too.
