Making Resources Go Further in Yunnan Province

Everyday life is getting a little bit easier for local villages in Yunnan Province. In an impoverished region, The Nature Conservancy is helping run a micro-finance program that lets local people fund alternative energy and agriculture projects. Alternative energy units turn livestock waste into usable energy to power appliances and reduce households firewood consumption by 35 to 75 percent. Improvements like these are making strained resources go farther, while also helping preserve forests and their resources for future generations. Please support the Conservancy’s work in China.
