Today, The Nature Conservancy released the following statement from Bob Bendick, Director of U.S. Government Relations for The Nature Conservancy, regarding President Obama’s FY13 budget request:
“The Obama Administration’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2013 contains important investments into conservation programs that are critical for America’s natural resources. The Nature Conservancy is very appreciative of the strong effort the Administration has made to sustain natural resource programs, even in these challenging budgetary times.
“We believe continued progress can be made toward conservation goals with the amount of money proposed by the President, and we will strongly support maintaining the requested levels in the budget process ahead.
“We look forward to working with Congress to demonstrate why the President’s proposals should be approved.”
