Unprecedented in size and scope, this agreement unites Canada’s forest products industry with major environmental groups, including the Conservancy, in developing a process for conserving a core piece of Canada’s 1.6-billion-acre Boreal Forest. This agreement not only conserves Canada’s world-class forests, but does so in a way that sets the region on a sustainable path for management of a forest-based economy. It underscores that good conservation works for both people and nature. This is truly a landmark conservation success.”
