Get Outside for a Good Cause! Volunteer at The Nature Conservancy’s Drury Preserve Trail in Sheffield
Volunteers sought for a May 17 workday at a popular Conservancy hiking trail.
SHEFFIELD, Mass. | May 09, 2014
Come out on May 17, help The Nature Conservancy get the Drury Trail ready for a major facelift and enjoy the beautiful spring flowers and wildlife this preserve has to offer!
More 600 feet of boardwalk and bridges will be rebuilt this summer by trail crews. We need help getting the foot trail cleaned up and deconstructing the old boardwalk.
All tools and some work gloves will be provided, as well as a light snack. Please bring water and wear sturdy work boots, preferably waterproof, and appropriate work clothes.
Families are welcome, work is appropriate for older children (more than 10 years old.) Registration is preferred. Register online for this event by clicking here.
The Drury Preserve is on Barnum Street in Sheffield near the Moon in the Pond Organic Farm.
