The Nature Conservancy in Georgia is mourning the loss of our Director of Philanthropy, Tami Willadsen. Tami and her daughter died in a tragic house fire on Saturday night.
"Our entire staff is devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague," said Deron Davis, executive director of the Conservancy in Georgia. "Tami was the heart of our office, and she was deeply committed to conservation. We are keeping her husband and young son in our thoughts and prayers."
A lifelong resident of Atlanta, Tami had worked for the Conservancy for almost 15 years and was an active member of the community as both chair of the board for EarthShare of Georgia and as president of The Museum School Foundation.
We share our heartfelt sympathies with the Willadsen and Eifrid families and their friends.
