Oklahoma's Blue River Preserve

The Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma has purchased a new 490-acre preserve along the Blue River in southern Oklahoma.

Oklahoma's Blue River | December 05, 2011

This will be our first new preserve in nine years and our first freshwater restoration project of this scale in the state of Oklahoma. This work on this preserve will be different than anything we’ve done here before; it will require extensive restoration of the riparian forest along nearly one mile of river that will be designed to improve water quality for both people and the flora and fauna that use it!
There will be opportunities to visit and volunteer here in the upcoming months.

The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working around the world to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
