Share Your Photos with Nature Conservancy Magazine
Do you have a favorite photo of the natural world? We’d love to see it. Every quarter we’ll provide a topic to inspire you. If you’re up for the challenge, gear up and head out to capture the perfect photograph — or simply search your archives for a suitable submission.
Each quarter, the editors’ top picks will be published in the magazine and featured in an online slideshow at nature.org/magazine.
Our Next Challenge: Kids in Nature
Research indicates that kids that spend time in nature are often happier, healthier and smarter. Now that summer is here opportunities to explore the outdoors are only as limited as your imagination. And there’s no need to stray far from home: Staycations — activities in your own backyard — can be inexpensive and fun for the whole family.
This year The Nature Conservancy is partnering with outdoor gear and apparel retailer R.E.I., The Children & Nature Network, and ecoAmerica to launch Nature Rocks — a campaign to bring families and nature together. For more than 100 outdoor activities to keep your brood busy all summer long, check out www.naturerocks.org.
What kind of outdoor activities does your family enjoy? Whether they are hikers, bikers or beachcombers, we hope you’ll share your photos of kids enjoying the great outdoors. Gear up and head out — summer is calling!
