Water Security in Latin America

Even though Latin America is relatively rich in water, it is unevenly distributed and many areas are experiencing or could experience severe water scarcity, which affects the region's optimal development.

In order to ensure sustainable growth and keep natural systems — which produce the water people and industry depend on — healthy ecosystems need to be conserved.

The Council mobilizes local business and political leaders around a goal of using nature-based solutions to help secure clean water for Latin America's most at-risk cities.
