Roberto Egydio Setubal is currently the President and CEO of Itaú Unibanco S/ A, Vice Chairman of the Board of Itaú Unibanco Holding S/A and President of the Board of Itaú BBA S/A.
Since 1984 he has overseen the commercial operations of Banco Itaú, being appointed in 1994 the President and Chief Executive Officer of Banco Itaú S.A. Since 1995 Mr. Setubal is a member of the International Monetary Conference and on June 2010 he was elected President of the IMC.
He is the Chairman of the Board of FEBRABAN-Federação Nacional de Bancos, and he was the President elected from 1997 up to 2000. He is also Vice Chairman of the IIF-Institute of International Finance and of its Steering Committee of Crisis Prevention and Capital Adequacy, and Co-Chairman of the Emerging Markets Advisory Council. In 2000 he became a member of the Trilateral Commission.
In 2002 Mr. Setubal became member of the International Advisory Committee of the NY Federal Reserve Bank. In 2010 he became a Member of the China Development Forum. In 2011 he was appointed member of the G20. He is founding member and President of the Executive Committee of Itaú Social Foundation and also Member of the Executive Committee of Instituto Itaú Cultural.
Setubal has a degree in Production Engineering from Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo (USP) and has a Master of Science in Engineering from Stanford University.
