Mr. Juan Pablo Del Valle Perochena is an industrial Engineer from Universidad Anahuac, has three children and is married to architect Bárbara Fernandez. He started his career working for Telmex S.A de C.V in 1996. Among other responsibilities, he led the implementation of the first fiber optics sea cable between the U.S.A, México, Central and South America. Early in 2002 he joined his family business, Grupo Empresarial Kaluz, where he was responsible for real estate investments/ operations and the chemical business. During his leadership, Kaluz has built more than 1 million square feet of housing and mixed used commercial developments.


Since 2002 he was deeply involved in the strategy to solidly grow Kaluz´s chemical business, Mexichem SAB. Since 2001, the company has been dramatically transformed. From being a local player in 2003, it now operates in 43 countries with 17 thousand employees and a market value that has increased 50 fold. With Mexichem SAB he serves as Chairman of the Board since April 20011, board member since 2001 and Board Delegate of Mexichem America since 2009. Mr. del Valle also sits on the board of Kaluz SAB and Elementia S.A de C.V and participates in the following nonprofit associations: Advisory Committee of Harvard´s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Board member of El Colegio de México trust, Board member of Kaluz foundation, Board member of the Chairman´s International Advisory Council of the Americas Society, Board Member of the José Limón Dance Foundation and member of the Latin America Conservation Council in partnership with The Nature Conservancy.


Mr. del Valle will receive in December 2012, the Leadership Award for outstanding global growth form the American Chemical Society CM&E Group.
