Jorge Paulo Lemann is a board member at Anheuser-Busch InBev. He founded and was Senior Partner of Banco de Investimentos Garantia S.A. in Brazil from 1971 through June 1998, when it was sold to Credit Suisse First Boston. Until early 2005, he was a Director of The Gillette Company in Boston; Swiss Re in Zurich; Lojas Americanas in Rio de Janeiro; and Chairman of the Latin American Advisory Committee of the NYSE.
With the creation of InBev and thereafter Anheuser-Busch InBev, he gave up all directorships to concentrate on his investment in that company.
He is a co-founder and Board Member of Fundação Estudar and Fundação Lemann, non-profit organizations that provide scholarships and new educational techniques for Brazilians, and Endeavor, an international non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurs in emerging markets. He has also supported educational institutions including Harvard, University of Illinois, Stanford and Columbia with leadership and endowment gifts over the years.
