Major Partners and Supporters of The Nature Conservancy

Great blue heron

Conservation-minded businesses can support The Nature Conservancy in a number of ways. For more information, please contact corporate_partnerships@tnc.org.

Program Support

We work with businesses to create corporate citizenship packages that provide contributions of money and in-kind donations to support conservation.

Recent examples:

Land Donations

Corporations may donate surplus commercial real estate (“trade lands”) and conservation areas to The Nature Conservancy.

Recent examples:

  • Conservation Area: BP America donated 655 acres of forested wetlands and mature hardwood forests along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia to The Nature Conservancy
  • Trade Land: 3M donated a 15-acre tract of land in Copley, Ohio, that had been used as a gravel mine. Net proceeds from the sale of the land benefited the Conservancy’s conservation work in Brazil.

Workplace Giving

Companies can make a commitment to include the environment in their employee giving campaigns by including The Nature Conservancy, Earth Share (a nationwide network of America’s leading nonprofit environmental and conservation organizations) or both. As a member of Earth Share, the Conservancy participates in several workplace charity campaigns including the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC #10643), state employee campaigns, and several corporate campaigns. By contributing to the Conservancy through Earth Share, employees pledge a specified amount from each paycheck to be automatically deducted. For more information about Earth Share, including how businesses can host a campaign, visit Earth Share online or e-mail workplacegiving@tnc.org
