Rivers Awareness Program
|
Did you know that almost 300,000 miles of rivers and streams in the U.S. do not meet water quality standards? When about 50% of our drinking water comes from rivers, keeping our waterways clean isn't just about a healthy environment - it's about our health, too.
That's why Tom's of Maine started the Rivers Awareness Program. In partnership with The Nature Conservancy and other organizations, the program is designed to draw attention to our nation's troubled waterways and to encourage people to volunteer for rivers in their own communities.
