Corporate support for
the Big Woods

May, 2006 - The Nature Conservancy in Arkansas hosted its 13th annual Corporate Council for Conservation recognition luncheon on May 3.

The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon was Roger W. Sant of Washington, D.C. Sant, who co-founded the AES Corporation in 1981 and now serves as the global power company’s director and chairman emeritus of its board, informed the crowd of some 100 individuals of the personal, business and social reasons why e’s chosen to support conservation.

During the luncheon, the Arkansas chapter presented awards to key Conservancy supporters and to four individuals from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for their leadership in the development and implementation of conservation plans for the Big Woods
