The newest and most advanced version of this software program is now available and includes many important enhancements:

  • Inclusion of Environmental Flow Components: The software program now can be used to automatically identify and compute statistics for a suite of “environmental flow components” (EFCs): extreme low flows, low flows, high flow pulses, small floods, and large floods. These EFCs will be very useful in developing environmental flow recommendations.
  • Improved Interface: Navigation within the software program and the viewing of tables and graphs generated by using IHA are now greatly improved. Output tables can now be saved as Excel spreadsheets.
  • Improved Hardware Compatibility: The new version will run on any computer with a Microsoft operating system.
  • Greater flexibility for importing data: Daily hydrologic data can now be imported in a variety of formats, including data downloaded from the USGS website.
  • Improved Help System: The new version provides greater access to assistance for specific questions and applications.

The IHA software program can be used with any type of daily hydrologic data, e.g., streamflow, river stages, ground water levels, lake levels, etc.

System Requirements
The IHA will run under any version of Windows. The installation will require about 4 MB of disk space.
