Brief biography
Zoë Kant is the Manager of Carbon Markets with the Conservancy's Global Climate Change Initiative. She designs and develops projects and programs that protect and restore natural systems and measure and market the greenhouse gas emissions reduction benefits of those activities. Zoë also advises on climate change policy and carbon markets standards to maintain transparent, credible, and pragmatic approaches for conservation projects and programs. She also supports the Conservancy's three large-scale forest carbon projects in Latin America. She joined the Conservancy in 2000, after working with the USEPA's Climate Protection Division. Zoë has a masters degree in Development Studies and in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a bachelors degree in Biology from Emory University.
