It is connected to several thousand acres of conserved forest land, in addition to the 37,400 acre Mt. Mansfield State Forest and wilderness area.
Biodiversity Highlights High quality core habitat for wide-ranging mammals and a variety of interior forest wildlife. Part of a very large forested block of conserved land in the northern Green Mountains and contributes toward maintaining connectivity north-south along the spine of the Green Mountains.
Qualifications and Restrictions Conservation easement allows for one house or camp with setback from Joiner Brook within a predetermined development zone. Forest management permitted with approved plan. Trail easement has been granted to
Catamount Trail Association.
