285 acre (by deed) forested parcel in Bolton, VT, located along the access road to Bolton Valley Ski Area and adjacent to several thousand acres of conserved land and Mt. Mansfield State Forest. The Catamount Trail bisects the property, the forest is well-suited for sustainable timber management; high quality wildlife habitat; several headwater streams and Joiner Brook, a high-quality trout stream with multiple waterfalls on the property.

Primary Conservation Objective
Part of multi-partner Chittenden County Uplands Project, this property is in a priority matrix block with high quality core wildlife habitat and travel corridor for wide-ranging mammals. It is connected to several thousand acres of conserved forest land, in addition to the 37,400 acre Mt. Mansfield State Forest and wilderness area.

Biodiversity Highlights
High quality core habitat for wide-ranging mammals and a variety of interior forest wildlife. Part of a very large forested block of conserved land in the northern Green Mountains and contributes toward maintaining connectivity north-south along the spine of the Green Mountains.

Qualifications and Restrictions
Conservation easement allows for one house or camp with setback from Joiner Brook within a predetermined development zone. Forest management permitted with approved plan. Trail easement has been granted to Catamount Trail Association.
