Description
196 acres in the Rockcastle River Conservation Area. The tract is characterized as primarily second growth hardwood of varying ages.

Primary Conservation Objective
TNC's primary conservation objectives in the Rockcastle River Conservation Area are to protect the aquatic and terrestrial resources by reducing the primary threats of industrial and residential development and non-source point pollution.

Biodiversity Highlights
The Rockcastle River and its watershed provide important habitat for a remnant aquatic community, the Cumberlandian Fauna. The fish fauna is also diverse and includes a candidate for federal listing, the Olive darter. Several federally endangered bats are known form caves in the watershed, as well as the Eastern woodrat. Lucy Braun's Snakeroot and other rare plants are also present.

Qualifications and Restrictions
The property will be restricted by an easement that prohibits subdivision, timbering and construction of structures. Recreational uses will be permitted.
