The area is considered by Idaho Fish and Game and the Bureau of Land Management to be one of Idaho's few remaining strongholds for sage grouse. The valley is a recognized migratory corridor and winter range for ungulates and is home to a local elk herd.
Qualifications and Restrictions Conservation outcomes on this property will limit subdivision and development, restrict livestock use, road and trail development, commercial use and exotic/elk/sheep ranching.
