See the Stars
Astronomers estimate that there are 100 thousand million stars in the Milky Way alone! That amounts to a lot of stargazing.
Take your kids outside on a warm night, lay down a blanket, and look up at the sky. Tell them stories about the stars, find constellations, and try to point out stars or planets that you know. It’s a humbling experience to see a shooting star or to hear, “That star is actually a planet?”
- 1
Pick a nice night where the kids can stay up late.
- 2
Find a good spot to lay down with and stare up.
- 3
Have a great time a let us (and your friends) know you did it.
Seriously, there are that many stars in the sky.
