The Third "R"
Land is a finite resource. And yet, 50 percent of the stuff we throw out in the U.S. ends up in landfills every year.
If we continue to produce the amount of trash that we do – without recycling – well, let’s just say that space to hold all of that waste is going to become a problem. Recycling not only reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills, but it conserves timber and other precious natural resources, and reduces pollution from collecting new materials.
Sign up for a recycling program in your neighborhood. If your office doesn’t recycle, encourage folks to do so. It’s an easy way to be green.
