Neutrogena® Naturals has joined with The Nature Conservancy’s commitment to real results and long-lasting change for the cause of protecting clean water. An estimated two thirds of America’s drinking water comes from rivers and lakes, making it essential to protect both water and the land around it.
Neutrogena® Naturals is proud to support The Nature Conservancy’s U.S. water protection efforts by singling out and providing financial support to the work of five female Conservancy scientists at the helm of a diverse collection of river projects in the U.S.
The Nature Conservancy’s Women in Water
Nicole Silk, Global Freshwater Team
“Water is important to me because I have children. I want them to live in a healthy world with enough clean water. We take river rafting trips and it’s such a wonderful opportunity to bond.”
Kim Lutz, Connecticut River
“I still remember spending hours mucking about in Plum Creek, Nebraska. My friend and I would imagine that it was the same Plum Creek of Laura Ingalls Wilder. When you enjoy nature you appreciate it in a different way, and you begin to understand that it’s not something separate from you.”
Laura McCarthy, Santa Fe River, New Mexico
“I remember the lake in Sebago, Maine where I used to go to summer camp. It formed my whole attitude about forests and water. Now my daughter is going to camp there. I’m so glad that places like that still exist for her.”
Leslie Bach, Willamette River, Oregon
“The biggest challenge we face is that there are so many demands on water – and every day there are more. We must, as a whole, think about that in a really clear way and try to understand all of the combined water needs. It’s a complex issue.”
Christi Lambert, Savannah River, Georgia
“Explore the outdoors, roam and ramble. Wander, get your feet muddy. I have spent my life out exploring and caring for rivers.”
