Pyne's ground-plum, a federally endangered plant with lavender petals and shiny red fruit, is believed to occur only in one county in Tennessee and nowhere else in the world. The largest group of this ground-plum is found on the Conservancy's preserve. In addition to Pyne's ground-plum, the site is also home to wet seepage glades, dry limestone glades, cedar/oak woodlands and many other rare species and communities.
