Loggerhead, leatherback and green turtles nest at night on Florida's east coast beaches, including The Nature Conservancy's Blowing Rocks Preserve.

The preserve is open to the public during daylight hours.

During the warm summer months, a variety of butterflies including sulfurs, monarchs, longwings and giant swallowtails can be seen throughout the preserve.

Where: The Disney Wilderness Preserve
When: October through March
American kestrels and other birds winter at the preserve. They return to the preserve in October and November, and stay through March.
