The Kelley Creek watershed is located in rural Williamson County. The property is largely forested and exhibits the gently sloping topography characteristic of the region. The only improvement on the property is an unpaved access road.

Primary Conservation Objective

The property is a significant natural area located within the Kelley Creek Seeps Conservation Area, an area important for its exceptional combination of upland oak-hickory forest, globally rare, herbaceous seep communities, and high-quality freshwater streams.

Biodiversity Highlights

The Kelley Creek Watershed is a conservation area known for exceptional aquatic biodiversity and rare limestone seep habitat.

Qualifications and Restrictions

The easement includes restrictions on subdivision, developement, and natural resource extraction on the property. The Nature Conservancy will retain a conservation easement over the property. The purpose of this Conservation Easement is to ensure that the property will be retained forever predominantly in its scenic, forested, and open space condition; to protect native plants, animals, or plant communities on the property; to prevent any use of the property that will significantly impair or interfere with the conservation values of the property.
