Payless ShoeSource Supports The Nature Conservancy's Plant a Billion Trees Campaign

The Nature Conservancy and Payless ShoeSource partnered to support the Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign.

As part of Payless’ plan to support the Plant a Billion Trees campaign, Payless is offering an exclusive, stylish reusable shopping bag for $1.99 to shoppers in more than 4,000 stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, and will contribute $1 from each bag sold to the program with a minimum contribution of $100,000.

In 2009, Payless raised over $200,000 for the Plant A Billion Trees campaign through sales of their new brand Zoe & Zac and the reusable tote bag.

The Zoe & Zac green brand, launched in 1,000 Payless stores nationwide and Payless.com last year, is the first-ever affordable green line of footwear and accessories.  The Zoe & Zac products are made from eco-friendly components and materials such as organic cotton and linen, natural hemp, recycled rubber outsoles, eco-friendly-EVA cushioning, and water-based glues for the shoes.  The product packaging is eco-smart as well; utilizing 100 percent recycled shoe boxes and soy-based inks for the printing.
