"Go Paperless" Campaign

The Nature Conservancy offers you the opportunity to join our “Go Paperless” campaign.

Nearly half of the world’s original forest is gone, and each year 36 million more acres are cut down. Deforestation accounts for 20-25 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions and incredibly, more than one billion people depend on forests for their water, fuel and livelihoods.  Amidst these staggering statistics, you can help. The Nature Conservancy offers you the opportunity to join our “Go Paperless” campaign.  For each of your customers choosing to receive an online statement, a donation is made to The Nature Conservancy for forestry conservation.  Reward your customers for being savvy, environmentally-conscious consumers!  Joining this campaign will improve your social responsibility profile, build brand loyalty, engage your customers and employees and provide an additional point of differentiation for your company in the marketplace. 


Your company will have the opportunity to use The Nature Conservancy logo and list the Conservancy as the beneficiary of customer action to “Go Paperless” on your web site and in marketing materials.

We will provide recognition of your company on our web site in support of the “Go Paperless” campaign.  The Nature Conservancy does not usually guarantee presence on its web site.  Therefore, the pages are uncluttered with corporate logos and brand names, giving your company valuable visibility among our members. The organization’s web site,, receives approximately 7 million visitors each year and more than 19 million page views.  A recent survey of members found that they are more likely to be loyal to brands that support the Conservancy.  Additionally, according to the 2007 Cone Consumer Environmental Survey, 93 percent of Americans believe companies have a responsibility to help preserve the environment.

Your contribution will help fund The Nature Conservancy’s forestry conservation programs around the world.  We ask participating companies to commit to “Go Paperless” for at least 12 months and guarantee a minimum donation.  By donating a portion of what it would have cost to create and send a paper bill to The Nature Conservancy for forest conservation, you give your customers the opportunity to participate in your philanthropic efforts by simply opting to receive their statements online.  Current Go Paperless participants include Allstate Insurance Company, Bank of America, and the Bank of New York Mellon Shareowner Services group.
