Over three-quarters of Americans don’t know the source of the water they use every day. To help people better understand the sources and condition of water around the world, The Nature Conservancy launched “Where Does Your Water Come From?” in October 2012. The interactive tool, based on an innovative study on global water sources, allows consumers to find out where their water comes from, as well as the vulnerabilities of their drinking water sources.
Target strives to empower guests and team members to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, expand their selection of sustainable product choices, be a retail leader in smart development, and achieve milestones in the business by using resources responsibly, eliminating waste and minimizing their carbon footprint. In 2012, Target contributed $50,000 to the Conservancy in support of this important water initiative.
