Back to Nature supports The Nature Conservancy

Founded in Pasadena, CA as a granola company in 1960, Back to Nature offers great-tasting natural and organic products including a full line of granolas, cereals, cookies, crackers and macaroni & cheese dinners. Back to Nature is committed to play its role in helping to preserve and protect nature because the company believes preserving nature leads to a healthy planet, which in turn, allows for healthier and happier people. To that end, Back to Nature is in the fourth year of a six year contribution to help support The Nature Conservancy's conservation work.

Back to Nature is proud of the strides they’ve made with their packaging over the past 2 years. Most of their cartons are made from 100% recycled paperboard with a minimum of 55% post-consumer content. Additionally, the majority of their cookie and cracker cartons are printed with inks derived from vegetables.

Their updated packaging — launched in February 2011 — highlights the beauty and simplicity of ingredients such as wheat flour and chocolate made with cocoa beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. Back to Nature now uses less paperboard by weight than it used in its previous packaging, so there is less overall waste. The paperboard is manufactured in a facility that reuses and recycles more than 95% of the solid wastes from the process.

Back to Nature products are sold in Natural/Organic grocers and other major retailers nationwide.
