Interested buyers should submit sealed bids by May 29, 2013. Bids are due by 4 PM MST. The top four bidders will be invited to live bidding on June 13, 2013. The property is or will be encumbered by a conservation easement as described below.



The historic Cornerstone Ranch is named for its location, where three states- South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana- come together. The property is perfect for ranching, and provides great opportunities for hunting mule deer and antelope. This choice ranch has impressive fencing, corrals, water resources, and headquarters.

Primary Conservation Objectives

Objectives are to provide habitat for numerous native grassland plants and animals, especially sage grouse habitat.


Biodiversity Highlights

Sage grouse habitat and other shortgrass prairie grassland and animal species.


Easements and Restrictions

No conversion of grassland to cropland or other non-native species. No development outside of existing building envelope. No feedlots.
