Natural Cities: Paved Areas & Rainwater Filtration

How Do Paved Areas Impact the Filtration of Rainwater?
Contributed By: Nature Works Everywhere

In this lesson, students learn about the importance of water quality for human health and the health of the environment and community.

During the lesson, students conduct a simple lab activity to demonstrate how natural areas filter water better than paved areas. The lesson is accompanied by a companion presentation for use in classroom instruction with an interactive white board that incorporates all video and glossary terms mentioned throughout the lesson.
