Dan serves as the primary liaison for principals and educators from new and existing environmental high school partners, and works closely with staff to organize all content and logistics for meetings and professional development events for teachers participating in LEAF.
Dan has many years of experience in environmental education, most recently as a public school science teacher in New York City. He holds an MA in Environmental Education from Antioch New England, and his New York State science-teaching license.
Dan has held rewarding positions at the Appalachian Mountain Club, the High School for Environmental Studies, the New York Botanical Garden, the Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies, the Math and Science Exploratory School, and various outdoor education centers in Massachusetts and Long Island. When he is not wearing his environmental education hat, he is often at home writing and recording songs.
