You are cordially invited to attend The Nature Conservancy’s Leaders in Environmental Action for the Future (LEAF) Green College and Career Fair. The Fair is an opportunity for students from New York City area LEAF partner high schools interested in pursuing an environmental field of study in college and/or an internship opportunity with an environmental organization.

Students benefit by:

• Learning about jobs, internships, scholarships and programs for environmental careers in the New York area.
• Networking with over 100 high school students and teachers from environmentally- themed high schools in the New York City area.
• Building career-enhancing skills and getting the scoop on trends in green jobs.

TOPICS AND KEY ACTIVITIES

• Pathways to green careers — inspirational stories from graduate students, scientists and professionals.

• Presentations by representatives from regional organizations, colleges and universities about opportunities for green programs, careers, scholarships and jobs.

• Workshops throughout the day on career-enhancing skills and topics such as:

• Finding Colleges with Green Programs

• Gaining Admission to College and University

• Seeking Financial Aid and Scholarships

• Building a Power Resumé

• Secrets to Navigating the Job Interview
